Faux Tulips?
I had come across these flowers at Nandi Hills over a month ago. I don't know what they are called, but for some reasons, they reminded me of Tulips. I spotted them again at Lal Bagh the very next day, and they were definitely not being cultivated there on purpose. So I assume that they are some kind of a weed/wild flowers for sure. Waiting to be enlightened.

Wordsworth would be happy to see such a pic!
Very soothing. One can never have too many yellow flowers!

Garden weed very common in India :-) There you go - my two-pence on the topic!

Like Ink Spill, I too thought of Wordsworth when I first saw the picture.
"Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance."

These are the lines that sprung to my mind immediately :-)

- BTW, the post below left me at a loss for words...it's defi my favourite of all the photos you've posted so far, and in my humble opinion one of your best!

Thanks all! For me, these flowers serve to evoke Schubert's Impromptu in A-flat (Op. 90). But then most things I see evoke music in my head anyways :)

But these are not tulips and a bigger problem is that I don't yet know what exactly they are :-)
